Installing iperf on CentOS
CentOS does not come with the epel repository enabled by default, which has the iperf package available in it.
Thus, the mentioned repository would have to be added first before you are able to install iperf.
rpm -ivh http://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/6/x86_64/epel-release-6-8.noarch.rpm
rpm -ivh https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-7.noarch.rpm
Afterwards, iperf can be installed using yum and tested using our iperf server immediately.
yum -y install iperf
iperf -c mirror.nforce.com -P 10
